Now that I've got this easy pattern figured out. I'm really hoping Kari will enjoy wearing skirts so I can make more!

Sewing
I've been doing a little sewing this week. It felt good to get back into it again. Kari was invited to a birthday party this weekend and I wanted to use up some fabric I've had stashed away for a while now, and thought I'd take a stab at making a simple skirt. The lemon skirt was my practice skirt for Kari, and went much better than I had expected. The purple skirt, which Kari selected the fabric, ended up being the birthday skirt, and also went quite smoothly.

Graduation
After more than six years (and many a tuition dollar) at the Patty Jischke Center, we bid adieu at Bryce's graduation ceremony. It was a nice event, decked out with mortar boards and gowns!
It doesn't seem that long ago we were saying our goodbyes with Kari. Ms. Emily and Ms. Melissa were both so, so patient and good to Bryce over the years. We will certainly miss their cheery, smiling faces each day!

Blind Taste Test
Kari LOVES doing blind taste tests. Here was tonight's lineup, which she took- and guessed- like a champ!
Weekend Adventures
We had a great weekend with a couple exciting things going on. First up was Bryce's second t-ball game. No winners, losers or even keeping score. This is merely to begin teaching the kiddos the basics of the game (and a perfect place for me- Holly- to learn this sport.)
Kevin served as assistant coach, mostly helping in the infield, base coaching and demonstrating a little bit of good sportsmanship.
After the game, we scurried home, showered, and headed up to Jak's Warehouse to meet Grammy Pammy and Dale. This was Bryce's second time here, but Kari's first. This time we had only a slightly better idea of how this place works. Both Kari and Bryce took a stab at the high ropes course. Even though Bryce is technically tall enough, he struggled getting his safety line through the "joints". Kari was at a perfect height and really challenged herself on the uppermost level, approximately three stories high!
Bryce loved Grammy's excellent driving skills!
We capped off the afternoon with an early dinner at our new favorite pizza joint in the Region- Aurelio's.
